The newly founded ski binding manufacturer Selun proudly presents its innovative A230G ski touring pin binding. This binding sets new standards in terms of lightness, stability, safety and durability. Made from high-quality aluminium, inspired by aviation, it weighs just 230 grams including stopper. A patent-pending spring arrangement reduces the number of components by up to ten, making the binding more resistant to dirt and wear.

Innovative grooves in the pins efficiently channel snow, ice and dirt to the outside to ensure secure locking and long durability. The infinitely adjustable locking mechanism adapts effortlessly to both new and slightly worn ski touring boots, giving ski tourers full control on every tour.

Selun bindings are produced in the heart of Eastern Switzerland, in the picturesque Toggenburg region to be precise. There, Selun works closely with its production partner WECOTECH, a company with over 30 years of experience in tube end forming.

Technology

Easy entry
Adjustable stops for each make of shoe, which help to hit pin tips effortlessly when stepping in.

Adjustable locking mechanism in walk position
The adjustable locking mechanism adapts to all makes of ski boots. The holding power when walking in steep traverses with wide skis is of central importance. The adjustable locking force adapts the front of the binding to the needs of the ski tourer.

Ergonomic release
The very flat locking lever makes it very easy to unlock with the tip of the ski pole, with skis and ski boots or by hand on steep slopes.

Optimally shaped crampon holder
Thanks to radii on the crampon holder, crampons that are too wide, for example, which can move sideways, are guided to the centre with every step. This prevents the crampons and crampon holder from being destroyed.

Pin tips with a new shape
The pin tips are equipped with newly shaped grooves that push snow, ice and dirt outwards.

Closed design
The closed design of the binding front prevents the ingress of snow and ice. The function of the binding front is thus maintained at all times, even in adverse conditions such as driving snow and extreme cold.

Contraction spring in the binding front
At the heart of the binding front is the ground-breaking new development that makes all the difference: the contraction spring between the knee levers is both a spring element and a swivel joint. The simplicity of this design is convincing in the reduction of many components and is unbeatable in terms of weight savings.

Longitudinal adjustment and spring-loaded length compensation
The guide carriage for up to three ski boot sizes is equipped with spring-loaded length compensation of around 6mm + 4mm. The length equaliser protects skis and bindings from overstressing in the event of large deflection (skiing in hollows).

4-stage climbing aid
The Selun A230G offers four options for different terrain steepness.
Step 1 directly on the stopper step plate, which is very low close to the ski and therefore allows a very long step on flat terrain.
Step 3 is swivelled in for steep passages.
Step 2 is the universal climbing aid, which is used by experienced ski tourers in both steep and flat terrain. The moderate height allows a relatively long stride and still provides support on steeper terrain.
Step 4 is swivelled in for very steep passages.

Stopper step plate with power transmission
The cams on the kick plates transfer forces as directly as possible from the ski boot sole to the ski. This massively increases skiing performance.
