Salomon asked the athletes to design an extremely progressive and playful freeride powder ski. The result was the Salomon QST Blank.

It loves pillows and powder and with 112 mm width is perfect for days in deep snow. The progressive shape ensures floatation and playful skiing, while the construction provides the necessary stability. With the Salomon QST Blank you can explore pistes or mount the Shift for touring adventures.

Playful & agile: By adapting the ski shape, lowering the widest parts and lengthening the rocker, the blank playfully masters all turns and remains very reliable. 

Buoyancy: A 112 mm waist accompanies you safely over pillows, in powder and on steep slopes. The preload underfoot and the tip and tail flex adapt to all the imponderables of the mountain.    

Power and stability: C/FX Carbon on tip and tail gives power and enables fast turning pivot turns. Double sidewalls and a Cork Damplifier provide reliable stability.

A solid wood core provides maximum agility, stability and optimum snow contact while filtering vibrations.

C/FX
C/FX is a special fibre layer of interwoven carbon and flax that runs the entire length of the ski. It combines the incredible robustness, stability and minimal weight of carbon fibre with the excellent damping and vibration absorption properties of flax. A Salomon exclusive patent.

Ti binding reinforcement
An edge-to-edge continuous Titanal insert under the binding for maximum power and better edge grip on hard snow.

Cork Damplifier
The absorption properties of cork are three times those of Koroyd. By using cork in the ski tip, a high level of vibration absorption and damping is achieved at an even lower weight.

Increased ski durability: the ski remains visually attractive even after intensive use.
