The Via Ferrata Pro Evo 3.0 via ferrata set from LACD is the technical evolution of the proven Via Ferrata Pro Evo 2.0 model. It is designed for a wide weight range between 40 kg (without equipment) and 120 kg (including equipment). It is equipped with woven, elastic arms and two automatically locking via ferrata carabiners. The arms have different lengths. The gate can be opened by applying pressure with the ball of the thumb and locked automatically when clipped into the wire rope. This prevents the carabiner from unintentionally detaching from the via ferrata. The UHMPE* shock absorber from LACD enables uniform tearing properties over the entire length of the shock absorber. This makes the LACD Via Ferrata Pro Evo 3.0 via ferrata set particularly reliable for via ferrata climbing.

* UHMPE:
UHMPE is the abbreviation for Ultra-High-Molecularweight Polyethylene. These are fibers made from particularly long polyethylene chains. Compared to other fibers used in mountain sports equipment, UHMPE has the following properties: high breaking strength, low volume and weight, low water absorption, fully static properties (low elongation) and high UV resistance, but also a low melting point.
