The Garmont Akron Mid GTX hiking and trekking boot is a technical boot designed for hikers and trekking enthusiasts. With a mid-height upper, it offers support, protection and sure-footedness, making it ideal for anyone who wants peace of mind during day trips in the mountains. The waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane keeps your feet dry in changeable weather conditions. The robust upper is made from suede, microfibre and RPU inserts and features a water-repellent, PFC-free treatment. The Michelin Off Road outsole, with special rubber compounds and a Climbing Zone in the toe area, provides a secure grip and enables precise foot placement on technical sections.

Thanks to the lacing system that extends right to the toe, the boot can be adjusted to fit the foot with exceptional precision. The Lace-Lock system distributes pressure evenly whilst the Heel-Lock system stabilises the heel and reduces slippage within the boot, which is ideal for long distances and uneven terrain. Garmont’s a.d.d. construction rounds off the design, featuring an anatomical tongue, an asymmetrical upper collar and a precise fit.

With its regular fit, cushioned EVA midsole and comfortable Ortholite® Ultra insole, the Akron Mid GTX is a versatile companion for challenging hikes, technical trails and alpine day trips.
