When cycling, it is important to keep your eyes on the road ahead. The Garmin Varia RearView 820 with radar and rear light allows you to do just that, as it enables you to see what's approaching from behind while keeping you highly visible on the road.

The Garmin Varia RearView 820 combines a bicycle radar with a rear light that is approved in accordance with the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). This ensures reliable visibility and greater safety on the road. The integrated radar provides an early warning of approaching vehicles and transmits relevant information directly to compatible Garmin Edge bike computers, Garmin smartwatches, or the Varia app on your smartphone.

Thanks to modern radar technology, the system can detect approaching vehicles from up to 175 metres away and distinguish their size, clearly displaying the overtaking distance, whether vehicles are travelling at the same speed or overtaking.

The powerful, StVZO-compliant rear light is visible from up to 350 metres away, significantly increasing visibility in traffic. Depending on usage, the Varia RearView 820 offers a battery life of up to 16 hours in continuous light mode with active radar, or up to 30 hours in radar-only mode.
