Safe, lightweight, and child-friendly: the Youngstar binding was developed especially for the ski mountaineering athletes of tomorrow. Its low weight and child-ergonomic features make it the perfect companion in all conditions. This makes ski touring an experience for the whole family.

Equipment plays a crucial role in helping little ones discover the fun of ski touring for themselves. In order to tailor the binding precisely to the needs of the youngest skiers, the engineers enlisted some energetic support and developed the Youngstar binding together with children who love touring. The focus was on safety and ease of use. All elements are designed so that children can operate the binding completely on their own, despite their lower strength, and do not need the help of adults. With its patented front jaw, the Youngstar offers the safest release values of 2-5 on the market. Thanks to a generous adjustment range of 50 mm on the rear jaw, the binding grows with the child over many years. It is approved for a maximum weight of 57 kg, making it a comfortable and safe companion even for light adults.

Thanks to its sophisticated design, getting started is child's play. The extra-long eccentric mechanism allows the front jaw to be locked and unlocked effortlessly – either by hand or with a ski pole. The binding has two climbing aids that can be easily folded forward or backward from a standing position with a ski pole, ensuring a flexible and optimal position for changing ascents. During descents, the patented front jaw, the “Flow Toe,” guarantees that the binding releases with absolute reliability. The integrated ski stopper provides additional safety in the event of a fall. Here, too, the developers have focused on a child-friendly solution: in walk mode, the stopper is automatically locked when you first step into the binding, and activated accordingly in ski mode.

For use in icy or harsh conditions, the Youngstar binding is compatible with Dynafit crampons. Thanks to the new crampon strap with Quick-In axis, these can now be inserted not only from the side but also from above. For children, this is much easier than inserting them from the side. Low weight and child-ergonomic features make this binding the perfect touring companion in all conditions.
