---

The Blizzard Rustler 9 is the narrowest ski within the Rustler series with a centre width of "only" 96 mm. This still makes it a veritable powder ski, but at the same time it is the Rustler that is most at home on the piste.

Soft woods are increasingly used towards the ends, while hard woods are increasingly used in the area under the binding. The small-scale construction and longitudinal gluing of the wood core gives freeriders dynamics and stability.

In combination with the FluxForm technology, three individual titanal layers, a unique playfulness and stability is created. The former is achieved by the taper of the titanal layer at the tip, while the latter is created by the wider titanal layer at the tail and supports during jumps and fast turns in powder.

The Duramax surface finish increases durability and underlines Blizzard's high quality. The ski also impresses with its innovative centre-width concept: the longer the ski, the wider its centre.

Technology

TRUEBLEND FREE WOODCORE

Blizzard have designed a specific Trueblend Free Woodcore for the freeride / back country category skis. It combines beech and poplar – two wood types that guarantee performance – with paulownia for a lightweight, yet high-performance wood core.
The result: the right flex to cover for all backcountry requirements in a lighter package.

The Trueblend Free Woodcore specifically positions three different densities of wood together to form a woodcore that is specifically designed to optimize the flex of the ski and deliver a smooth and balanced feeling.
This blending of the different densities of wood creates three distinct flex zones; a softer flex zone in the tip and tail areas, that facilitates easy turn initiation and release, a medium flex zone in front of and behind the binding, that helps deliver confidence and control and finally a stiffer flex zone in the center, underneath the binding, that guarantees perfect edge grip and stability.
Trueblend woodcores are designed to provide just the right amount what you need, performance, control, and confidence, to do what you want, when you want anywhere on the mountain.

DURAMAX
New titanal construction that is designed to provide both maximum durability and increased performance with a unique, high value look. The top titanal layer is extended to the very edge of the ski and placed directly under the top foil which is then milled back 3 mm, thus exposing it. The titanal directly absorbs all impacts that occur along the top edge, reducing scratches and eliminating chipping.

FluxForm
The FluxForm is designed to work in perfect combination with the Trueblend Wood Core. As its core construction the FluxForm is specifically sized for each model. Tapered on the tips for perfect floating and wider on the tail for more support during fast turn in powder and landing from cliff.

+ Fritschi Tecton 13 bindings

Carbon reinforced front and rear jaws make the Fritschi Tecton even more stable and durable. The proven Tecton freeride binding achieves the performance and safety of alpine bindings.

The Fritschi Tecton 13 impresses the powder fan not only with the best downhill performance. On the steepest slopes, it gives a secure hold and only releases when it really has to. It is just as strong on the ascent. The light weight and easy operation make all powder slopes effortlessly accessible.

Free Touring beyond limits: The exceptional alpine heel with rail is responsible for the direct power transmission from boot to ski, similar to an Alpine binding. Any unwanted release is prevented by the long dynamic path. The binding reliably releases at the DIN setting.

In the back, where the forces are highest, the Tecton remains as stable and precise as an alpine bind-ing. The hold-down system with a non-turning alpine heel jaw and the rail transmits the power directly from the boot to the ski without any loss.

The easy step-in and the intuitive control provide security, especially in challenging terrain. The right mix of light high-tech synthetics and high-quality metal alloys provides superior stability at a low weight.

Features:
• Alpine heel clamp with rail
• Lateral release at the front with DIN value adjustment and 13 mm dynamic travel for the toe of the shoe
• Frontal release at the rear with 9 mm dynamic travel for the heel
• Reliable release with 10 mm length compensation for the bent ski
• Easy access
• Intuitive operation
• Incl. color clips
