The Beal Orient Express Bi-Matic is a single-sided locking carabiner for use with belay devices.

Thanks to the snap hook that clips onto the belay loop of a climbing harness, the carabiner cannot be twisted. This ensures the correct orientation of the carabiner and reduces the risk of the belay system being weakened by cross loading.
