Prepreg – Compression Moulding
This advanced process fuses all layers of the ski construction under precise pressure and consistent temperature. “Prepreg” refers to pre-impregnated fibers already soaked with resin. These are carefully shaped and placed before being pressed in the mold. The result is an optimally cured, strong, and durable bond between the materials for long-lasting performance.

Topsheet
Augment uses different topsheet types tailored to each application. For touring skis, the focus is on keeping the surface lightweight and durable.

Carbon
Carbon fibers provide stiffness at minimal weight, offering an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio. They deliver dynamic rebound and enhance performance at high speeds and in demanding terrain.

Titanal insert
Titanal, an aluminum alloy used in aerospace, is valued for its strength and stability. In skis, it ensures smoothness, superior damping, vibration reduction, and precise control, especially on hardpack and at high speeds.

Wood core
Augment combines different woods like beech, paulownia, and poplar, carefully balanced for robustness and dynamism.
