The Atomic Backland 85 is an extremely light and versatile touring ski. It's built with Atomic's Ultra Light Woodcore construction, which keeps it nice and light on the ascent.

To further reduce weight, the Carbon Backbone runs the length of the ski like a spine, providing exceptional agility and stable edge grip on the descent. The All Mountain Rocker profile and HRZN Tech in the tip allow the ski to float in fresh snow and ski through chutes and scree with less tip flex.

The cut-out in the shovels makes switching to Atomic's pre-mounted skins a breeze.

An ultra-light carbon insert runs through the ski from front to back and stabilizes it like a backbone. This improves edge grip and maneuverability and saves weight at the same time.

HRZN Tech Tip
HRZN Tech provides 10 % more flotation at the tip of the ski - for brilliant floatation in powder, less sinking of the ski tip and better tracking behavior in crushed snow and crushed slush.

The Dynafit ST Rotation 10 is a virtually indestructible binding with strong downhill performance, maximum comfort and TÜV-certified safety.

The patented Dynafit Rotation toe piece compensates for impacts that can affect the ski and binding during a dynamic and powerful descent. This makes the release function of the binding even more reliable and effectively counteracts unwanted early release. The contact pressure of 10 mm ensures that the release values remain constant even when the ski is flexed.The perfect bayonet fit of the heel unit ensures extremely high power transmission from the binding to the ski, which increases reactivity and downhill performance.

The Step-In Side Towers make it over 30% easier for you to step into the toe piece. This means you are ready to hit the slopes in a flash.At the same time, they increase lateral stability during the descent. The hub centering helps you to easily adjust the zero position of the boot and thus your position for the ascent on all bindings with rotary toe pieces.
