Atomic Backland 78 UL 22/23 Touring Skis

Built for fast and light touring, Atomic Backland 78 UL is an ultralight weight touring ski for ski mountaineering missions. Constructed with ultralight Carbon Fiberglass and Atomic’s Ultra Light Woodcore for extremely lightweight skiing performance, this ski delivers exceptionally efficient and fast climbing.

The All Mountain Rocker allows for smooth and stable performance on the descent while the HRZN Tech in the tip floats in fresh snow and charges through chop and crud. A cut-out notch in the tips makes transitioning the pre-fit skins quick and easy.

With a narrower profile than the Backland 85 UL, this ski craves to climb. The UL range offers the lightest skis Atomic makes.

Technology

Carbon Backbone: An ultra-lightweight carbon insert that runs the length of the ski like a stabilizing backbone. This provides exceptional agility and edge hold with no extra weight.    

Ultra Light Woodcore: The poplar and caruba woodcore for skis that are all about low weight, like our touring skis.    

Carbon Fiberglass: Carbon Fiberglass composite layers produce an ultralight ski that offers ultimate stability and power for highly dynamic performance.    

All Mountain Rocker 15/85/0: For all snow conditions and any terrain, both on and offpiste. An early rise either just in the tip, or in both tip and tail, makes this rocker super versatile.
