Product details: Atomic Backland 102 26/27 Skitouring Skis
With the Atomic Backland 102 you benefit from a balanced freeride touring performance that delivers a powerful yet agile skiing feel, giving you both uphill efficiency and confident downhill control in the backcountry.
The Atomic Backland 102 was developed for freeride ski tourers seeking big-mountain adventure and is designed to explore, ascend, and descend with confident security.
Using the same construction as the wider Backland 109, the FreeTour profile creates a touring ski with impressive downhill performance. An Ultra Light Woodcore made from poplar and caruba provides the ideal balance between low weight and optimal performance, and the lightweight three-dimensional HRZN 3D tip increases surface area for better float in deep snow. The Powder Rocker offers a pronounced tip and tail with camber underfoot for effortless, playful maneuverability in powder, slush, and uneven terrain.
As a reinterpretation of the original Backland construction, it uses more wood and less fiberglass, metal, and resin to reduce material-related CO2-equivalent emissions by 26% (compared to the Backland 100, 2022).
Developed in collaboration with Austrian backcountry legend Matthias Haunholder, it is the intuitive performance and uphill efficiency of the Atomic Backland 102 that take him deeper into the mountains on every tour.
