Tunap is committed to the environment and not only complies with existing environmental laws, but also avoids the unnecessary use of non-renewable resources. As proof of this, the company was awarded the title of "Employer of the Future" by the German Institute for Innovation and Sustainability.

The company has always taken all necessary measures to meet the needs of its customers. For example, the use of appropriate equipment, the provision of appropriate storage facilities, and the establishment of appropriate processes.

Since Tunap cannot produce the raw materials itself, long-term, reliable and sustainable business relationships must be established with suppliers. Here, too, quality and environmental awareness are paramount. But also within the company, the sustainable treatment of employees through fair working conditions is on the agenda. Thus, Tunap stands not only for the sustainable use of resources, but also for social (ethical) sustainability.

USE OF POST-CONSUMER RECYCLED CAPS

Starting in 2022, Tunap will replace all private label can ends with sustainable PCR can ends. "PCR" stands for "post-consumer recycling" and refers to materials made from recycled plastics. Household waste is collected, sorted, cleaned and finally processed into granulate. Through this transformation, without any additional coloring, the typical grey colour is obtained, which indicates to the consumer that the product is 100% recycled. Without altering the function of the product, Tunap has so far been able to save 23 tons of CO₂ and make a significant contribution to environmental protection.

OMC2 TECHNOLOGY

The technical requirements are constantly increasing, also in the area of lubrication technology, which is why Tunap has developed the OMC2 additive technology for this application. The aim is to minimize surface friction and thus increase efficiency, which in turn optimizes the smoothness of motion sequences. The result is longer service life with reduced lubricant consumption, lower frictional heat for reduced energy consumption, and savings in disposal. The OCM2 technology helps Tunap to make a sustainable contribution to the environment and CO2 reduction.
