A never-ending expedition
"Our business is an ongoing expedition. The further we go, the further we want to go - including in terms of sustainability," is how the Swedish brand describes its drive. Peak Performance has set itself three clear and ambitious goals to minimize the company's footprint in the long term. Firstly, the company focuses on minimizing the negative impact of production on the environment and designing and producing products in such a way that they last a long time and can be used flexibly: "Qualitative products that are made to last". Secondly, Peak Performance believes in relationships that last. Because you can only build a sustainable future with long-term partners and friends. And thirdly, as a member of 'BlueSign', the 'Swedish Textile Initiative for Climate Action' and the 'UN Fashion Charter for Climate Action', Peak Performance fights against material waste, CO2 emissions and the use of chemicals on a daily basis. In this way, the company plans to reduce its ecological footprint by 50 percent by 2030 and offer 100 percent circular products.
The story of Peak Performance began over 30 years ago in the small mountain village of Åre in the heart of the Swedish mountains. An extraordinary team of talented skiers - including Stefan Engström, former professional skier, and ski magazine editor Peter Blom - set themselves the task of developing functional ski clothing with a modern design. The initial small-scale production for family and friends quickly turns into a booming business: the whole world wants Peak Performance! The result is a wide range of outdoor collections for men, women and children, including a large selection of skiwear, jackets, pants and sweaters.
URBAN STYLES FOR EVERY SEASON
Simplicity, elegance and functionality are the maxims of Scandinavian fashion. However, the range does not only include winter sports. It has expanded many times over over the years: Golf and running wear are also produced in summer, as well as year-round training wear in the Active line. In this way, Peak Performance is able to offer a collection that covers the whole year. Similar to skiwear, Peak Performance also has an outdoor collection that uses functional fabrics for summer.
