The sturdy, lightweight probe made of robust aluminum has a glove-compatible, pull-tight telescopic closure system and an ergonomic handle. This allows the 240 Short probe to be clamped quickly and securely. The improved visual depth guidance system always gives the right information. The shaped tip efficiently penetrates compacted avalanche snow – saving power when probing.

When folded, the compact 240 Short probe fits perfectly into a small ski touring backpack. In an emergency, every second counts. All Mammut avalanche probes are UIAA-certified and therefore efficient in rescue, durable and ergonomic in handling.
