The Coolmesh II Crew is the thinnest sock in the Wrightsock collection. The Crew version reaches down to the wade. Coolmesh II Crew is often worn by runners because it does not "pull" under their running shorts. The "crew" version is also popular with hikers who wear light, ankle-high shoes. The "quarter" model would be too low for this shoe.

The most important feature of all Wrightsock socks is the two layers of sock that are sewn together at several points. The two layers effectively reduce the friction between the foot and the sock and instead shift it between the two sock layers.

In addition, the inner sock is made from the special Dri-Wright functional fiber, which is highly breathable, ensuring that moisture is wicked away from the foot and heat generated is reduced. All three factors contribute to the fact that the Wrightsock Coolmesh II Crew socks effectively and lastingly prevent blisters when running or hiking.
