The Arbor Snowboards Story

Arbor was founded in 1995 to make snowboards with a focus on sustainability. From the beginning, the company has been committed to minimising the environmental impact of its production. Arbor was the first brand to replace the standard plastic topsheet with a wood veneer, not only making production more sustainable, but also improving the performance of their boards. They are pioneers in the use of bamboo, bio-plastics and other recycled, reclaimed and renewable alternatives. For more than two decades, Arbor has been translating rider-centric design into high-quality, handcrafted snowboard products while minimising their impact on the planet.

Highly Renewable Woods

Arbor work with a wide range of fast growing wood and bamboo materials obtained from well-managed forests.

The wood comes from sustainably managed forests and is certified by the FSC.

Every forest product we use is processed with modern methods that stretch the material.

Arbor filters the water used and the wood waste from production is also recovered.
