The Shimano XTR PD-M9100 has a slim and weight-optimized axle in two lengths, I-PDM9100S1 with 3 mm shorter axle.
The wide bearing positioning provides higher stiffness and even load distribution and a low footprint for stable pedaling. The slim axle housing of the Shimano XTR PD-M9100 better drains mud and dirt.
