The La Sportiva Vanguard is the modern touring ski boot for the demanding female skier: the perfect balance between comfort and technique on both the ascent and descent makes the boot suitable for touring and freetouring.

Thanks to the innovative design and the special shaft construction, the boot is just as solid and reactive on the descent as a freeride or alpine ski boot. The materials used are state of the art for plastics combined with carbon and glass fibres.

The use of the environmentally friendly Pebax Bio Based Rnew 1100 material protects the environment. Each component enables optimal and precise power transmission to the ski, combined with high abrasion resistance and an incredible lightness.

The heart of the boot is the shaft with asymmetrical V-Shape closure, which combines high freedom of movement and very intuitive donning. To put the shoe on very easily, you only need to set the walk mode and open the front buckles.

The fit is wide and the extremely simple closure of the upper also automatically puts the rear tongue in place. The inner shoe made of Ultralon and the very durable Vibram V-Lug sole round off this innovative product.

Pebax Shell: Comfortable and high-performance shell made from environmentally friendly Pebax Bio Based Rnew 1100 material derived from castor oil. Extreme cold resistance and optimal flexibility. Geometry according to ISO standards 

V-SHAPE Pebax Cuff: shaft made of Pebax Bio Based Rnew 1100 with excellent rotation of 63°: maximum freedom of movement to move quickly and safely in any situation. Asymmetric closure that makes donning decidedly quick and intuitive thanks to the special "scissor geometry" and wide fit. The shoe can be put on quickly and easily by setting the walk mode and opening the front buckles: The shoe is now ready to be put on. Carbon reinforced upper for the men's version (FLEX 130) and glass fibre reinforced for the women's version (FLEX 115). 

EZ Flex Double Tongue: Pebax - tongue consisting of two components with two different thicknesses, top and bottom, to combine maximum freedom of movement in walk mode and perfect power transmission in ski mode 

V-Guard Interfaces: lockable reinforcements made of materials used in alpine skiing. They have been placed on the heel and toe for maximum durability, where the binding is hooked in. 

WarmSole insert: removable insole made of polyurethane with insulating effect. The insole avoids direct contact of the foot with the shell and increases thermal performance

EZ-LOCK Closure System: folding rear ski/walk mechanism made of Ergal and technopolymer: guarantees maximum speed of closure and avoids exposing the mechanical components to shocks and unwanted stresses. 

TWIN-PWR: double elastic upper strap that combines a perfect closure on the shin with a pleasant elastic effect during skiing, guaranteeing comfort and precision on the descent 

Compact Buckle: patented lever closure system. The lever remains next to the shell to reduce volume and distribute tension uniformly; for maximum freedom of movement without exposed parts outside the shaft that could get in the way of ski touring 

Double Release: the lower buckle is compact and precise thanks to the "Spider Buckle Evo" technical solution: this allows perfect tension distribution on the central part of the foot's instep, acting on the highly resistant Adjustable Cable™ anchored directly on the axles of the rivets. Thus, the deformation of the shell in descent is reduced 

Vibram V-LUGS Sole: ISO UNI EN 9523 compliant sole with highly durable lockdown inserts on heel and toe. 

Vanguard LINER: thermoformable liner specially designed to interact with the shell and upper: Allows for an ergonomic and enveloping fit and optimal comfort. Ankle protection thanks to shells made with materials with differentiated thicknesses and Ultralon Performance Foam material. A cord can be added so that the internal volume can be individually adjusted. Also available in a women's version with an ergonomic fit adapted to the female foot.
