Why is Dalbello a WIR DENKEN UM brand?
Dalbello is the only major ski boot manufacturer to produce each boot in its own factory in Asolo. As a WIR DENKEN UM brand, Dalbello is characterised above all by the following points:
- The company is committed to responsibility throughout the supply chain
- Dalbello produces in its own factory and guarantees fair working conditions
- The company pays attention to a resource-saving use of sustainable raw materials and packaging materials
Proudly made in Italy
What began as a small family business is now a state-of-the-art industrial operation that produces up to 2,000 pairs of ski boots a day. With production on this scale, Dalbello is aware of its responsibility in terms of resource conservation and sustainability. Due to the production at the Italian headquarters, the working conditions can be directly controlled. At the same time, production in Italy helps to promote local value creation and the EU economic area. The raw materials used for ski boot construction come 50 percent from Italy and 100 percent from Europe. Material leftovers and surpluses from production are used to make new ski boots. In particular, plastic materials from the outer shell and cuff of the boots are reused, so as much as 20 percent of a ski boot already consists of production leftovers. Since 2019, Dalbello has been part of a Repair 3D project to test new methods for recycling and reusing plastic waste using 3D printing processes.
