In the face of the plastic waste problem and all the ills that petroleum products and their excessive consumption bring with them, there will certainly be more products and objects in the future that are made from renewable raw materials, that can be repaired, that are fairly produced and traded and that can be disposed of on the compost heap or in the oven without any problems.

To support this positive development, WOW want to make a start here with their innovative Snowshoes. In a new combination of old-established materials and techniques, snowshoes are to be created that are "fit" and "absolutely eco". And combined with the invitation: Less is more!  

You don't necessarily need well-designed, moulded plastic bindings with "rip-snip", a cotton strap with a clamp lock works too. You don't necessarily need prongs on your snowshoes if you're walking in soft snow most of the time anyway and your crampons are in your rucksack. Less comfort often enhances the experience and one's own abilities and is acceptable if it results in a clear increase in sustainability and ecology.

The WOW snowshoes are made in local workshops for physically or mentally disabled persons - all fair and totally ecological. The snowshoes fit wonderfully into a backpack (54 cm long) and have no sharp edges to break your things with.
