The Hybrid Tourlite Woodcore provides an impressive combination of minimal weight (1190 g @ 170) and riding stability. The 3D radius sidecut provides a highly resistant tip, which is especially useful when skiing in wind-blown snow conditions.

The sidecut construction provides both agility as well as maneuverability in narrow passages. For ski tours with heavy loads, the combination of a more narrow waist under the foot and moderate shaping in the tip and tail areas helps skiers to stay in control and requires less effort when changing direction. 

The Rise Above 88 W also comes with Völkl's new Smart Skinclip which is available with Fibre Tech and Smart Glue skins.

3D Radius Sidecut
Drei Radien in einem Ski für maximale Drehfreudigkeit und Geschwindigkeit im All Mountain-Einsatz. Die weiteren Radien in Tip und Tail eignet sich ideal für weite Turns und hohes Tempo. Der enge Radius in der Mitte begünstigt enge Schwünge und gemäßigtes Tempo.

Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore
Der extraleichte Hybrid-Mehrschichtholzkern ist ein sehr komplexer Kern, der im Blaze zum Einsatz kommt. Bei diesem Holzkern kommen leichte und sehr stabile Pappel- und Buchenhölzer zum Einsatz, die vor der Verleimung einzeln gewogen und nach Gewicht selektiert werden. Bei der Tip-to-Tail-Konstruktion reicht das Holz bis in die Blattspitze und -spitze und verleiht ihnen die ausgeklügelte Kombination aus guter Stabilität und geringem Gewicht. Im Zentrum des Kerns trägt ein CNC-gefräster Isocore-Bereich zu optimaler Lebendigkeit und dynamischer Entfaltung bei. Alles in allem ermöglicht diese Konstruktion die Stabilität des Skis den hohen Ansprüchen eines Freeride-Skis gerecht zu werden, und das bei einem Gewicht, das nur geringfügig über dem eines Tourenskis liegt.
