Salomon's interchangeable soles are higher than alpine pads, made of Contagrip, compatible with 9523 touring standard and WTR and MNC certified. The soles are compatible with the following Salomon products: Quest Max, Quest , Quest Access, Ghost Max, Ghost.

As with all Salomon Quest boots, the front and rear sole pad can be replaced. Thus, the existing sole construction for DIN-standard alpine / freeride bindings can be exchanged with a touring-ready sole (rubber profile) with Dynafit inserts. This also allows you to use lightweight pin binding systems from Dynafit, ATK, Fritschi, Plum and G3 with ascent function, for example - but you benefit from a downhill-oriented boot that can handle most off-piste situations.
