Inspired by and named after Monte Zebrù in the Ortler Alps and made in Italy, the Salewa Zebru Fresh body-mapping base layer is primarily made from superfine merino wool blended with durable Tencel Lyocell made from sustainably sourced wood. The merino wool ensures optimal heat dissipation and a soft, next-to-skin comfort, while lyocell provides additional moisture absorption and freshness, making this t-shirt ideal for mountaineering and climbing. In addition, this shirt features smart synthetic polyamide fibers enriched with a blend of natural thermo-reactive minerals.

Added to the natural fibres are smart synthetic filaments loaded with a unique blend of natural thermoreactive minerals. These Responsive yarns have the ability to absorb far-infrared radiation (FIR) from your body and slowly release it back into the muscle tissue over time. The resulting increased blood flow, cellular performance and oxygenation leads to more effective thermoregulation, better performance and faster recovery. As such, Responsive is an integral part of the fabric and does not wash out.

The long-sleeved men’s version of this baselayer has a tight, close-fitting athletic cut and requires no elastane for stretch. The 28% polyamide content also makes it more hardwearing and shape retentive. Made using an advanced circular knitting process, resulting in a seamless one-piece torso for greater comfort without chafing. And thanks to its 36% merino wool content, the Zebru also offers natural odour prevention.
