Product details: Salewa Ortles Medium 3 Down Jacket Willow Men
Whether as an insulating midlayer or a third layer, the Ortles Medium 3 Down Jacket is part of Salewa's warm insulation range and was designed for alpine adventures in icy temperatures. The jacket combines high thermal performance with minimal pack size.
The filling uses a 90:10 duck down and TirolWool® Hybrid Responsive insulation. The two insulating fabrics are placed in such a way that different parts of the body receive exactly the right amount of warmth. The duck down is certified according to the Responsible Down Standard and, with a fill power of 750 cuin, keeps you comfortably warm even in bitter cold. The TirolWool® Responsive material also provides warmth even when wet – which is why it is used on the hood, shoulders, and cuffs.
The lightweight nylon ripstop outer fabric protects against abrasion, making it ideal for alpine adventures. The close-fitting hood, adjustable at the back, and the high collar offer protection when conditions get stormy and uncomfortable. The ergonomic fit of the sleeves and shoulders allows for a wide range of movement and prevents the jacket from riding up during overhead movements. Another practical feature is the two-way front zipper, which ensures easy access to the climbing harness and belay device. And when temperatures – or the intensity – rise, the jacket can be quickly stowed away in its own pocket.
The Salewa Ortles Medium 3 Down Jacket combines low weight and minimal pack size.
