The Ortles Light Mid Powertex was developed by Salewa for all mountaineers who strive for the highest demands. This mountain boot is just right for demanding tours. It is light, technically designed down to the last detail and, above all, very comfortable. It mainly finds its area of application in rock, ice and snow.

As an agile mid-cut mountaineering shoe with ankle protection, it encloses the foot, which provides stability and protects against rock and scree. The Pomoca Alpine Light outsole provides improved grip and traction in different terrain, while the cushioning EVA midsole guarantees high wearing comfort during fast activities.

Salewa's new Edging Plate 2 technology combines high rigidity, which improves edge stability and precision when climbing, with a balanced flex and good roll-off behavior for great comfort when walking. In addition, the heel stabilizer, which also allows you to put on crampons, ensures improved grip on rocky terrain.

The 3F system specially developed by Salewa increases the support and stability in the heel area, while the Multi Fit Foodbed Plus (MFF+) and the 3D lacing enable individual lacing and adjustment for even more wearing comfort. On the outside, a hard-wearing nylon fabric with high-strength and abrasion-resistant TPU seams and TPU foils/coating is used, as well as a rubber protective edge - with the overall weight and material thickness being kept as low as possible. The elastic gaiter keeps dirt and small stones out.
This waterproof mountain shoe made of extremely durable nylon (PA) has a PFC-free Powertex membrane, laces made from recycled materials and other recycled components. The Ortles Light Mid Powertex is characterized by a small ecological footprint - and is the first shoe in the Salewa Committed collection.
