During such activities, we must be able to rely entirely on our clothing to ensure our bodies remain ideally protected during fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures – the Salewa Ortles Hybrid Tirolwool is perfect for this.

The revised model impresses with its proven hybrid body-mapping structure: Durastretch inserts are incorporated on the back and sides, which, thanks to the wool content (22 %), are particularly comfortable to wear, and the elastane ensures freedom of movement. In addition, there are strategically placed insulation areas made of TirolWool® Responsive, which ensure excellent body thermoregulation and can keep you warm even in wet conditions.

The TirolWool® Responsive material used is obtained from valuable wool from Tyrolean mountain sheep, and the insulation is refined with responsive yarns. The yarns contain thermo-reactive minerals that recycle the far-infrared (FIR) energy emitted by the body and slowly release it again. This creates sustainable, long-lasting warmth. When it gets stormy or really cold, the close-fitting, insulated hood, which can be adjusted at the back, offers additional weather protection. If temperatures – or intensity – rise, the jacket can be quickly stowed away in its own pocket.

As part of the Salewa Committed collection, the jacket features a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. Furthermore, the Durastretch material is made from 22 % fine Merino wool, ensuring next-to-skin comfort.
