The new Retro-X fleece jacket brings the popular design into an eco-friendly future - with 100% Repreve® recycled polyester, certified by OceanCycle and sourced from coastal communities at particular risk of plastic pollution. The result is a soft, warm and windproof fleece with the classic 1/2” pile - known for its iconic look that has been copied around the world.

This reworked version combines nostalgic design elements with modern features: a more relaxed cut, fluffy lining in the stand-up collar and pocket shapes reminiscent of the early 2000s. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory, it supports fair working conditions and environmental responsibility.

The Patagonia Classic Retro-X fleece jacket is made from high-quality 1/2” fleece made from 100% Repreve® recycled polyester with a windproof inner layer of recycled polyester taffeta. This is also treated with a durable, water-repellent DWR coating - without any deliberately added PFAS. The stand-up collar has a pleasantly soft lining on the inside and is reinforced on the outside with NetPlus® nylon - a fabric made from recycled fishing nets that actively contributes to reducing plastic waste in the oceans.

A full-length front zipper with an internal storm flap provides reliable protection against cold draughts. The ergonomically cut Y-joint sleeves ensure optimum freedom of movement. The pockets are also practical and well-thought-out: a zipped breast pocket made of NetPlus® and two softly lined hand warmer pockets offer plenty of space and comfort. The design is rounded off with neat finishes on the collar, zipper, cuffs and hem, which ensure durability and a high-quality feel.
