The Kestrel 48 hiking backpack also features a lid with drawcord closure and zippered compartment, as well as a lower sleeping bag compartment with removable divider.

The Kestrel's contact back system has been developed for comfort and stability. The trekking backpack is equipped with Osprey's proven AirScape back panel and a robust hip and shoulder strap for high load capacity. The length of the backplate can be easily and individually adjusted using a Velcro fastening system.
