The massive, bizarre towers of the Pala Group rise out of the stony high plateau. Climbing here, on the southernmost mountain massif in the Dolomites, requires strong nerves and strong fabric. Ortovox has designed the Merino Shield Tec line, which includes the Pala climbing pants, precisely for such long, alpine routes.

The extremely abrasion-resistant outer material of the men's trousers can withstand more than 50,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale test, which measures abrasion resistance. Additional inserts in the pre-shaped knee area offer maximum protection against rugged rock. The 4-way stretch fabric provides full freedom of movement, which is supported by an athletic cut. Thanks to their membrane-free construction, the Pala Pants for men are particularly breathable, while fine merino wool on the inside and merino mesh on the waistband make them even more comfortable to wear.

The belt- and rucksack-optimized hand pockets and topo pocket keep the contents quickly to hand. The adjustment options at the hem and waistband guarantee an optimum fit with every movement. For the sake of the environment, the entire Merino Shield Tec line is also completely PFC-free.
