The Ascent 38 S Avabag is an airbag backpack designed especially for women on demanding multi-day ski excursions. This ski touring backpack has a shorter back system than Ortovox’s regular backpacks, as well as hip and shoulder straps adapted to the female anatomy. But this ski touring backpack is also suitable for men with shorter backs, ’cause the S stands for "short".

The light and sensationally airbag system is compact. Another special feature of the Avabag system is the activation training: you can practice activating it again and again without the cartridge attached, so that you can be well prepared for an emergency situation. The handle can be gripped with any type of glove, and is suitable for both left and right-handed users. The Avabag works without electronics and is compatible with all Ortovox Avabag backpacks.

At 38 litres and with three inner pockets, the Ascent 38 S Avabag provides enough storage space. Emergency equipment can be stored in the separate safety compartment so that it can be reached quickly. There are also numerous gear loops and fixing points that allow you to attach skis, ice axe, hiking poles, sleeping mat, sleeping bag and your helmet.

The soft, foamed 3D back system and reinforced straps ensure both stability and comfort. Lightweight yet abrasion resistant materials make the Ortovov Ascent 38 S Avabag Avalanche Backpack durable enough for rough terrain and numerous tours.
