The Ortovox Free Rider 22 Avabag is a freeride backpack with back protector and mechanical avalanche airbag system - perfect for any deep snow adventure.

The Free Rider 22 Avabag was developed around the extremely lightweight airbag system to create a freeride backpack designed for maximum protection. The focus here was on the new development of the SPS FLEX back protector, which turns the back system and protector into a flexible unit.

Made up of eight pads that remain pleasantly flexible even in the cold, the protector adapts to the body and absorbs impacts by immediately hardening the foam. The wide hip belt and the body-integrating silhouette of this avalanche backpack ensure a secure fit on the back. The interior of the freeride backpack with airbag has been completely redesigned with packing aspects in mind.

Around the Avabag unit, a real 22 liters of usable volume have been gained, which is ideal for use. The proven Freeride features are used on the outside, whereby we have significantly optimized the helmet and snowboard holder.
