To achieve this low weight, Ortovox tailored its features precisely to the needs of purist, minimalist ski tourers: The airbag backpack has a spacious main compartment with top-zip access. All emergency equipment, touring gear, and other essentials can be stored here. Furthermore, Ortovox has focused on the essentials, such as ski and ice axe attachments, a removable helmet net, and hydration system compatibility.

The back system is also extra lightweight without sacrificing comfort. Depending on the chosen tour, the avalanche backpack can be effectively compressed. LiTRIC, the electronic airbag system, combines lightness with ease of use and reliability. The electronic system charges via USB-C in approximately 25 minutes and allows numerous test deployments at no additional cost. Eliminating cartridges means more space, no weighing, no cartridge disposal, and no travel restrictions. The design is well-thought-out down to the last detail; super capacitors are used instead of cartridges, and the airbag is super lightweight – making the system one of the lightest on the market. The system is also particularly easy to use. From the charging process and the LED charge indicator to the deployment handle, the leg loop, and packing the airbag: LiTRIC AVABAGs are completely intuitive to use.

One charge allows for at least two deployments. The operating time in ON mode is approximately 60 hours, enabling multi-day tours without recharging.
