The Ascent 28 S Avabag is an airbag backpack designed especially for women. This ski touring backpack has a shorter back system than Ortovox’s regular backpacks, as well as hip and shoulder straps adapted to the female anatomy. But this ski touring backpack is also suitable for men with shorter backs, ’cause the S stands for "short".

The light and sensationally airbag system is compact. Another special feature of the Avabag system is the activation training: you can practice activating it again and again without the cartridge attached, so that you can be well prepared for an emergency situation. The handle can be gripped with any type of glove, and is suitable for both left and right-handed users. The Avabag works without electronics and is compatible with all Ortovox Avabag backpacks.

In terms of features, the Ortovox Ascent 28 S Avabag Avalanche Backpack leaves nothing out. From the separate safety compartment to the circumferential zipper, hydration system compatibility, ice axe and rope fastenings and a diagonal ski fastener – it has everything you need for a long ski tour!
