Because every gram counts on the way up, Nitro focuses on weight with the Vertical Splitboard. The directional splitboard shape is narrow and reduces the overall weight of the setup and friction on the snow, resulting in a power-saving, faster ascent to the summit. In addition, the longer nose and lightweight setback provides a balanced float distribution that allows you to surf the pristine powder. Special edge geometry saves 40% weight over standard edges, while the lightweight topsheet construction reduces weight by 60% and another 20% on the sintered Speed Formula II base. 

The secret ingredient of the Vertical Splitboard is Nitro's super lightweight Powerlite Core. Koroyd, a patented tubular cell structure made of 95% air and a blend of selected low-density woods, provides a powerful feel and plenty of speed. The Diamond Laminate carbon fibre layup further reduces weight while providing precision and responsiveness, making the board lively and fast.
