The Free 28 Removable Airbag 3.0 avalanche backpack from Mammut combines low weight with all the essential features of an avalanche backpack. The tried-and-tested Airbag System 3.0 is one of the lightest and most reliable on the market. Eye-catching orange elements make it more visible from afar.

Inspired by trail running vests, the harness fits close to the body and prevents the load from swinging. The hip and shoulder straps have been ergonomically optimised for optimum comfort and a snug fit, while the newly developed 3D pre-shaped back panel provides additional support.

Double access to the main compartment is particularly practical: it can be opened from the top or via a zip on the back. Skis or snowboards are securely fastened with sturdy compression straps. Safety equipment is stored in a separate orange compartment for easy access in an emergency.

Sustainability is also a top priority: The Free 28 is PFC-free and both the shell and lining are made from recycled material. Additional features such as a helmet holder, side compression straps and pole attachment points make it a well thought-out companion for demanding tours.
