La Sportiva has developed the Ultra Raptor II shoe specifically to provide optimal support for both long distances in the terrain and extended training sessions.

The highly breathable upper made of air mesh fabric provides good ventilation. The running shoe has an integrated cushioning plate "Endurance Platform" made of soft EVA with differentiated thickness (larger on the toe, smaller on the heel) for maximum shock absorption in any situation and reduction of ramp angle. The rear stabilizing heel insert allows perfect control on transverse passages. 

The lacing system of the Ultra Raptor II is integrated with the upper, through eyelets sewn on the inner elastic fabrics and reinforcements in hard plastic on the outer mesh: this system allows the distribution of the tension of the lacing on the entire upper for maximum comfort. The laces and Ortholite hybrid footbed have also been made from recycled material.
