The Hanwag Klarsby Low Bunion GTX is a lightweight low-cut hiking boot - optimized for women with hallux valgus. As a fit specialist, Hanwag offers the Klarsby Low Bunion GTX, a shoe for one of the most common malpositions of the forefoot, the crooked position of the big toe. 

The waterproof leather hiking boot was specially developed as a bunion model and boasts numerous specific features. The bunion last offers more space for the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe and for the toes as a whole. With hallux valgus, the crooked big toe often also displaces the other toes - the toe box is raised and slightly wider so that they have more space upwards overall. The Hanwag Endurance Hike Bunion sole is adapted to the last: It offers stability thanks to a wide tread surface and an excellent cushioning PU midsole. The metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe is relieved by increased flexural rigidity in the forefoot area - this reduces the range of motion of the MTP joint when rolling and thus avoids unnecessary pain. In addition, the entire forefoot area, including the TPU scree protection, is free of seams that could press or rub the sensitive metatarsophalangeal joint.

The adaptive Ghilly lacing ensures a comfortable fit: the flexible textile loops adapt to your movements when you roll, allowing your feet to move more naturally. For people with hallux valgus, this can lead to greater comfort when walking. To increase comfort in the area of the metatarsophalangeal joint and prevent pressure points, additional padding material is incorporated between the leather and the inner lining.
