Dancer Series
The Dancer is the freeskier’s delight: its lightweight Poplar wood core is bolstered by two razor-thin sheets of metal, for the ideal balance of weight savings and nimble handling, with unwavering stability and edge hold at high speeds.
Generous tip and tail rocker allows for enhanced crud-busting and float in the soft stuff, too. So whether you’re slicing across fresh corduroy, deftly dancing through powder fields, or lacing jump turns down your favorite couloir, you can rely on the Dancer to ‘get down’ with full confidence, and effortless style.
Featuring recycled materials and backed by the finest, most durable Austrian construction, powered 100% by renewable energy.
Features:
• Tip and tail rocker, traditional camber
Tip and tail rocker + traditional camber, for the perfect blend of high performance edge hold, easy turn initiation, and float in soft snow.
• Leichtes Pappelholz
Poplar is a light-colored, medium-weight, durable softwood that flexes and pops nicely as well as having a whole load of vibration absorption capabilities. Used as the only wood in this core, it allows the ski to pop, butter and stomp like an all-mountain freestyle ski and also have enough torsional stability to grip impressively on the downhill.
• Dual Span Titanal
Titanal is one of the most sturdy metals out there. Its isotropic quality - meaning it's equally strong in all directions - means that the ski loves being on an edge, blasts through bumps and feels stable even in changeable snow, making it the perfect chassis for your dream freeride ski.
• Recycled Materials
Faction now mix base, sidewall and topsheet material scraps back into the raw material used for production, reducing carbon emissions while ensuring the same level of quality & durability.
• Locally Sourced Materials
In an effort to reduce the impact of the supply chain, Faction strive to source materials from European companies that are based near the factories.
• XL 2.5mm Edges
XL 2.5 mm edges, compared to 2 mm industry average, built to last
• Full Strength Sidewall
Full Strength Sidewall, for the best-possible edge hold and protection of the wood core, made from recycled material
• Mustache Flex
The "Mustache Flex" offers stability underfoot for solid edge hold, with a smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the different bumps and snow debris the mountain throws at you
• Anti-Chip Micro Cap
Anti-Chip Micro Cap protects the tips and tails from wear and tear

Recommended mounting points (acc. to manufacturer)
A mounting point further back on the ski promotes stability, float, and carving performance. This is generally preferred by those with a traditional technique, who ski in a forward stance or with lots of pressure on the front of their boots through the whole turn
CLASSIC
The Classic line offers optimal carving ability. Choose this position if you like to heavily pressure the front of your ski boots and ski shovels through your turns. Mounting at the Classic mark will optimize float in deep snow, giving you the most tip length of any of our three recommended positions.
Best for: those skiing with a traditional stance, ex-racers, big-mountain chargers.
PROGRESSIVE (equivalent to mounting point "Allround Standard" when requested in order process)
Progressive is the Faction recommended mount position for the Prodigy, Dancer, La Machine, and Agent lines. Progressive is the most versatile position on the ski, and provides the perfect balance of carving performance and manoeuvrability. This is the position Faction recommend, if you’re unsure where you want to put your bindings, or if you’re simply looking for the most all-around solution.
Best for: all-rounders, those drawing on both freeride and freestyle inspiration in their skiing.
NEWSCHOOL
The Newschool position is for those who ski with a playful, freestyle-influenced style, wanting to maximize pivot ability and potential for butters, tricks, and spins. Skiers preferring New School will likely have a more ‘centred’ and neutral stance, with less pressure on the shins through turns. Newschool is the Faction recommended mount point for the Mana series.
Best for: Freestylers, those who ski with a centred stance, those wanting to maximize manoeuvrability.
