The Blacklight Pro from Dynafit is a race-orientated touring ski that has been specially developed for professional ski mountaineers. With an extremely low weight and a width of 80 mm under the binding, it is the ideal companion for fast ascents in demanding terrain.

The Blacklight Pro consists of a Paulownia Race core optimized for weight with an ultralight UD carbon construction. UD is the abbreviation to describe the “uni” or one-directional arrangement of the fibers. Compared to classic carbon construction, UD carbon lends higher tensile strength and greater resilience while maintaining a lower density.

Thanks to its 3D construction, the ski lowers its total weight to reduce its swing weight in front of and behind the binding area to essentially reduce the overall weight of the ski. You get extremely stable ski handling despite its extremely low weight. The rocker construction at the tip and tail and the sidecut are also adapted for each ski size – a unique feature in the ski touring market. This keeps the effective edge length equally proportional to each size, allowing it to function independent of the size.

In order to guarantee the best possible power transfer on the ski, the Blacklight Pro is constructed with a full ABS sidewall. In addition, the base has a special racing grind for even more speed. Meaning you are guaranteed to be the first on the summit!

One highlight of the Blacklight Pro is the attachment for skins. With the new PIN-SKIN System, the skin is no longer attached to the tail or tensioned. Rather, it is anchored with a small pin to a corresponding insert directly on the ski. This system not only saves time when transitioning, it also ensures a perfect interplay of ski and skin, and reduces unnecessary weight, which is particularly essential on demanding terrain.
