With the Kitzsteinhorn Shorts, Chillaz pursued a clear concept: they wanted to create modern climbing and trekking shorts! Important for this was the perfect mix of fabrics.

The fine, elastic summer cord, together with the particularly robust and stretchy climbing fabric, were the base. At least one pocket should be equipped with a zipper, the waistband system with the drawstring should be perfect for climbing harnesses! The fibres should not be too synthetic to keep the breathability extremely high.
