The integrated 162L airbag stores the energy that powers the compressor when triggered in the Alpride E2 supercapacitor system. Unlike batteries, which work with a chemical reaction, supercapacitors store energy using electromechanical properties and release it in the same way. This makes supercapacitors significantly more reliable at low temperatures. It is also the reason why the energy stored in a supercapacitor is released more quickly when triggered.

The backpack has a compartment specifically for a shovel and probe, as well as a back stash zipper that allows quick access to small items. The curved zipper provides convenient side access, while compatibility with BC Link radios ensures team communication.
