The Atomic Backland UL CTD is the ultimate helmet for ambitious skitouring adventures.

It combines an ultra-lightweight construction with Shocksense, Atomic's new smart helmet technology that uses impact detection to monitor the helmet's condition and an integrated SOS function for added safety while touring.

Everything about this helmet is designed for protection and comfort at a low weight: The hybrid EPP in-mold construction is durable, lightweight and extremely safe - thanks in part to the PC microshells that structurally reinforce the shell. Under the shell, Holocore and AMID (Atomic Multi-directional Impact Deflector) provide up to 40% more impact protection than industry safety standards require.

The multi-standard certified helmet can be used for skiing, climbing and biking and features a lightweight Skimo liner that makes it perfect for winter touring or long bike rides in the summer. And like all Backland helmets, it has the little features that make a big difference: headlamp mount, removable strap station and a reflective element for added safety in the dark.
