This high-quality touring ski was designed based on a scientific life cycle assessment, creating a new, more environmentally friendly design that reduces CO2-equivalent emissions (compared to the Backland 85 from 2021) by 30%, without sacrificing an ounce of performance.

More raw materials with lower CO2 emissions are used — more wood but less fiberglass and resin, along with waste-reducing sidewalls. The result is a lighter, more stable ski that performs excellently in every terrain. With the wider 88mm waist and the beveled HRZN 3D tip, plenty of flotation in powder is guaranteed.

The Atomic Backland 88 W’s All-Terrain Profile provides a modified thickness distribution, increased torsional stiffness, and an optimized flex pattern — delivering more stability and maximum versatility.
