The extremely lightweight Atomic Backland 78 UL from the Fast and Light Touring segment is specifically designed for speed in ski mountaineering. Ultra-light carbon fiberglass and Atomic's Ultra Light Woodcore are responsible for the ski's light weight and thus its exceptional efficiency and speed on the ascent.

The All Mountain Rocker ensures a harmonious feel and stable performance on the descent. And thanks to HRZN Tech on the shovel, the Backland 78 UL plows through fresh powder just as confidently as it does through choppy snow and crushed snow. The cutout at the tip of the ski makes it quick and easy to attach and remove PreFit skins.

The Atomic Backland 78 UL touring ski has less center width than the Backland 85 UL, giving it extra power for ascents. The UL models are the lightest skis available from Atomic.
