K2 Dispatch

Turns in untouched deep snow slopes as far as the eye can see and as long as your legs allow? If you earn your powder turns, you usually rely on light equipment. Fortunately, free tourers – i.e. tourers with a penchant for powdery downhill fun – no longer have to compromise, both uphill and downhill. Because well-thought-out constructions, a smart selection of materials and balanced shapes make it easier to climb and ensure pleasure on the descent. Anyone looking for ski and touring boot models with exactly these characteristics will quickly find what they are looking for at K2 this winter season.

Freetouring Without Compromise

The new Dispatch series includes three ski and five boot models for maximum freedom on the mountain. The K2 developers paid particular attention to the topic of sustainability. By using environmentally friendly raw materials, focusing on longevity and a base that requires less energy during production and stores wax better, the new series is more environmentally friendly.

The Dispatch Skis

There are three widths to choose from within the Dispatch series: 101, 110 and 120 – depending on whether you are looking for a ski for high alpine adventures, fun tree runs or absolutely unforgettable days in deep snow. The aim of the product developers was to extend the life of the skis through the conscious selection of raw materials and well-thought-out constructions.

Dispatch 101

With its dimensions of 123-101-112 and its weight of 1695 grams at a length of 182, the Dispatch 101 is the most ascent-oriented model of the series. Despite its reduced weight, the ski is extremely stable and offers maximum control.

Dispatch 110

The jack of all trades within the Dispatch series: With the Dispatch 110 model, free tourers have a companion that excels in a variety of conditions. The dimensions 130-110-120 deliver full buoyancy on deeper days, while the construction with its 1750 grams at 184 cm is still light enough to enable long ascents.

Dispatch 120

Earning your turns on the deepest days of the year? No problem with the Dispatch 120! With its dimensions of 139-120-130 cm, it is the widest representative of the Dispatch models, offers maximum flotation and is still light enough to function on the ascent.

Technologies

Wood core: Paulownia wood is a particularly light, flexible wood with an excellent performance-to-weight ratio.

Vibradet: The material effectively reduces vibrations in the binding area and thus ensures better shock absorption and maximum control.

Hex-Beam: The hexagonal titanal insert leads from the mounting point towards the tip and tail of the ski. It transmits the energy and ensures better directional stability and optimal power transmission.

Sustainability

Flax fiber: To give the Dispatch models more smoothness and better directional stability, K2 relies on Uni-Directional Flax. In contrast to carbon, flax is a natural raw material that binds CO₂ during its growth and thus has a significantly lower overall CO₂ footprint.

Steadfast Base: The new base is made from a molecule that has a lower density and therefore larger wax pockets. Due to the longer chain structure of the molecule, applied wax lasts nine times longer than on sintered bases. In addition, the production saves 30 percent energy during manufacture.

The Dispatch Boots

The new Dispatch touring boots weigh just, 1459 grams on average and offer 60 degrees of freedom of movement on the ascent. Ladies have the choice between a 105 and a 115 flex. The three men's models have a flex between 130 and 110. All boots have the newly developed Honeycomb insole in common, which can be individually adjusted and provides more warmth. Thanks to the Vibram sole, the boots ensure optimal grip.

Dispatch Pro

The top model of the series weighs only 1500 grams and offers 60 degrees of freedom of movement in walking mode. With its 130 flex and the Tourfit inner boot with BOA Fit System®, it is one of the stiffest touring ski boots on the market.

Dispatch LT

Even lighter than the Pro model: At 1465 grams, the Dispatch LT boot is well-equipped for longer tours. In walking mode, it provides 60 degrees of freedom of movement, and the 120 flex is stiff enough for demanding descents.

Dispatch

The new model is the ideal companion for adventures in the backcountry. Both the outer shell and the inner boot can be adapted to the shape of the foot using heat. With its 110 flex, it is suitable for advanced skiers and beginners.

Not Just Boys Fun

More and more women can be found in the backcountry. Of course, shredding pow is not limited to one gender. For women who are looking for flexible companions for unforgettable tours, K2 offers two options with the Dispatch shoe models.

Dispatch LT W

Ladies who are looking for adventures in powder are well-equipped with the Dispatch LT W. The 1390 grams light free touring boot was developed specifically for the female foot. Its 115 flex offers enough stiffness for demanding descents.

Dispatch W

Thanks to the 105 flex rating, the Dispatch W free touring boot delivers stable performance on the descent. Uphill, the range of motion of 60 degrees ensures comfort to enable long backcountry adventures.
