Then join us at the 2025 Friends on the Rock Event - presented by Sport Conrad, Wild Country & Evolv!

A unique experience of action, challenge and community awaits. Look forward to exclusive workshops with the legendary WIDE BOYZ, climbing pioneer Heinz Zak, and experienced athletes and mountain guides who will help you refine your climbing technique. But it's not all about the experience on the wall - relax at the campsite after an exciting day, chat with like-minded people and enjoy delicious food in the best of company. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced climber, this event is for anyone who wants to live out their passion for climbing and reach new heights!

Event & program overview

Saturday, 3 May

Location: in good weather Sonnenplatten Scharnitz; in bad weather Boulderhalle Garmisch

Meeting point: 9.00 am at the Sonnenplatten Scharnitz

9.00 am: Get-Together & Introduction

> Coffee talk & small snacks

> Introduction of athletes & mountain guides
> Welcome of Wild Country & Evolv, Sport Conrad

> Introduction and short talk by Heinz Zak about the climbing area

> Short product presentation of the test material and distribution of the products

10.00 pm - 13.00 pm: Workshop block 1 (to choose)

> Basics / Knot tying / First climbing experience on rock / Belaying in toprope (partner check)

> Lead climbing & fall training

> Crack School with Pete from the Wide Boyz (mobile belaying in toprope & technique)
> Alpine Climbing / Beginners MSL (Theory and Practice). Focus: belaying, abseiling

> Take care of your friends / repair & care

> Free climbing with tips & technique training, as well as nutrition & fitness

Max. 10 people per workshop

13.00 - 14.00 pm: Lunch time

Bring your own food and drink.

14.00 pm - 17.00pm: Workshop block 2 (to choose)
