The company was founded in Switzerland in 2012. With a vision to enable an active, curious and balanced lifestyle for people on a healthy planet, the brand manufactures innovative merino outdoor and lifestyle apparel. Merino made better

Supernatural is committed to climate protection "by leading the way in decarbonizing our products and other environmental initiatives". Natural materials and product durability have always been in the brand's DNA, and yet Supernatural is aware that there is still work to be done. After all, every piece of clothing produced - no matter the brand - has an impact on the planet. Supernatural uses mostly natural materials, such as Lyocell, GOTS-certified cotton and mulesing-free merino wool. Supernatural sources wool exclusively through Südwoll Group, a German family-owned company that is a Bluesign System Partner, GOTS certified and certified to the Responsible Wool Standard. The merino wool used comes from farms in Africa, where mulesing has been officially banned since 2009. In the functional area, Supernatural also uses polyester. From 2025, the company plans to use only recycled polyester. This leaves the problem of microplastics produced during washing, which enter our ecosystem via wastewater. However, a laundry bag that catches microplastics simply helps here.
