Mammut Together for Glaciers

Together for Glaciers

MAMMUT HAS LAUNCHED THE “TOGETHER FOR GLACIERS” CAMPAIGN. Here you FIND OUT WHAT IS BEHIND IT.

Together for Glaciers #TogetherForGlaciers. Just as glaciers shaped our beloved mountains, we are shaping the future of glaciers. Humans are accelerating climate change. To counter this trend, it’s up to us to demand decisive change from policymakers and industry. Become part of the movement and raise collective awareness about how we can reduce emissions and slow the retreat of glaciers.

EVERY VOTE COUNTS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE.

Become part of the POW community and stay up to date on initiatives. Get involved. Raise awareness about the issue. Talk about it with family, friends and acquaintances. Together we can make a difference.

Mammut has made a short film on the subject. Watch it and learn more about the relationship between Mammut and the glaciers.

MAMMUT’S GOAL: AN EMISSION-FREE FUTURE

Mammut wants to take more responsibility. Accelerated by human actions, the environment is threatened by climate change. As mountain enthusiasts, they are experiencing the changes firsthand. Mammut wants to act now to achieve “Net Zero” emissions by 2050 at the latest.

Mammut has signed the “Paris Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action” and committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 at the latest.

Mammut wants:

  • Convert the power supply completely to renewable energies.
  • Make greater use of materials and production processes with a lower environmental impact.
  • Ensure that products last longer and can be easily repaired, and increasingly rely on the circular economy.
  • Rethink how products are transported.
  • Engage consumers and support stricter regulations to accelerate change.

PRODUCT CYCLE

Mammut’s goal is to develop durable products that can be recycled into something new at the end of their service life. In this way, the linear life cycle is transformed into a circular cycle.

The circular economy aims to use products for as long as possible by recycling them at the end of their life and returning them to the supply chain. In a circular system, Mammut gives materials a new life without producing waste or using new raw materials. Mammut is convinced that the circular economy is the best way to reduce emissions and achieve Net Zero by 2050 at the latest. That’s why the company invests in the development of low-carbon products and in ways to repair, rent, and resell used products to extend their life.
