Ski Touring Nature Trail

500m of altitude difference, 10 stations and a cosy hut

Sport Conrad, together with Dynafit and Hydroalpin are offering a ski touring nature trail in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is dedicated to beginners as well as advanced and it is meant to boost and to refresh your knowledge of ski touring in theory and practice.

The start is at Partenkirchen Ski Stadium car park and the trail winds itself 500 meters in height up the slopes leading to the Berggasthof Eckbauer at 1236m. The course is peppered with 10 stops where display boards inform about different subjects concerning ski touring: Avalanche control, skiing techniques, security and nature protection to mention a few.

An inviting and comfortable place is the OlympiaHaus, ideal for a chat about what you’ve learnt during the ascent and a laid back refreshment. No wonder that you will meet rookies as well as experts up here sitting side by side.

Depending of course on your speed and the length of your stops, you will need roundabout two hours for this trail.

You can do this course on your own or with a real expert at your side. The guides of Hydroalpin will be happy to support you and to give you further information. Dates for guided tours under www.hydroalpin.de
